Math and Reading/Language are very important.

The amount of time spent on subjects in grade school should be altered. I think that math and reading/language are the most important subjects. In addition, I feel that more time should be concentrated on those subjects than any other subject. Students should not get the same amount of time everyday in history and science as what they receive in math and reading/language. It is not that I feel that history and science are not important but that the economy would be profited more by this action. Although science and history are used with many jobs, math and reading/language are used more. Even if a student grows up and never gets a job, they will still use math and reading/language every day. I am all about what profits students the most. I feel that more emphasis should be placed in history and science if a middle school or high school student is going to pursue a profession in history or science. If students do not wish to obtain a degree in history or science, they should have to concentrate harder on math and reading/language. Although many may not agree with me, this is the way that I have felt since I was in middle school.
